Bandari Sacco is open to the public. Any individual/person(s) from all occupations can join e.g. farmers, employed, self-employed, and investment groups (Chamas) among others.

Every financial year (1st Jan to 31st Dec), the SACCO declares dividends on share capital and interest on deposits based on the business performance.

Savings/Deposits are refundable while Share Capital is non-refundable but transferrable to a nominee or another member.

Share capital earns dividends while savings/deposits earn interest.

Shares are never used as a loan security while deposits may be used as loan security.

Members are not permitted to borrow against share capital as Shares are never used as a loan security while deposits may be used as loan security.

A member can apply for a loan after an active KYC relationship period of six (6) months.

A nominee” means a person appointed by a member to inherit the shares, deposits, and other interests in the Sacco society upon the death of that member.

Our Head Office is located at Bandari Sacco Building Moi avenue at the Docks Matatu terminus; Nairobi offices are at the KPA Inland Container Depot, Embakasi & Westlands at KK security HQ; Kisumu at the Swan Centre Building Oginga Odinga Road.

All loans granted by the society must be fully secured either by guarantors who are members of the society and have been active for at least 6 months or by use of collateral; Collateral will include a title deed/Property and car log book.

In cases when the loan applied for is less/equal to a member's deposits, one could self-guarantee himself within his deposits.
